Neiman Marcus Welcomes Buddha Mama for Rare Fully Branded Pop Up Experience, Fall 2022

Feel-Good Vibes to Bring Joy and Happiness to Luxury Retailer Audiences

Miami, Florida—Buddha Mama is partnering with Neiman Marcus for special, fully-branded Pop Up experiences at several of the luxury chain’s key locations. The Pop Up Shops will kick off in San Antonio, Texas on October 13 and run through November 1, before heading to Austin, TX for a November 10 launch. The Pop Up series will wrap in St. Louis, Missouri on December 1 where it will be on display for an additional two weeks.

“We are very selective about who we partner with for events of this scale,” explains Larry Pelzel, Vice President of the Precious Jewelry Division at Neiman Marcus. “I believe our Buddha Mama collectors have Peace in their hearts and Smiles on their faces; two things that are always in style! These pops up are a great opportunity for us to infuse our stores with peace, love and happiness, and to spread that joy to existing collectors of the work while introducing the Buddha Mama magic to the uninitiated.”

Further reiterating this sentiment is Eric Ford, Precious Jewelry Buyer for Neiman Marcus, “Put simply, Buddha Mama’s jewelry makes me happy. I want to share that happiness when and where I can.”

These in-store activations will provide a fully immersive experience of the Buddha Mama aesthetic, with dedicated real estate in the jewelry departments wrapped in Buddha Mama branding. Additions to many of their most popular collections will be debuted, with standout pieces from their signature and one-of-a-kind collections also on display. Each of the events will give visitors to the stores a first-hand look at hot-off-the-bench designs, while also providing a unique opportunity for clients to get tips straight from the source for how to style talismanic pieces such as guitar picks, hearts and hamsas.

Neiman Marcus locations in both San Antonio and St. Louis are already strong doors for the brand, while the Austin Pop Up will mark a formal introduction of the brand to a new market. “We are thrilled to partner with Neiman Marcus for these events,” explains the brand’s founder and co-designer, Nancy Badia. “Being surrounded by our branding provides a glimpse into our worldview and will allow us to connect with our collectors on a more intimate basis while also meeting with new, soon-to-be collectors of our work.”

Nancy and her daughter, co-designer Dakota Badia, will make personal appearances at each of the three Pop Up events. The duo will be in San Antonio October 14th and 15th, in Austin November 11th and 12th, and in St. Louis on December 2nd and 3rd.
